Answer (1 of 2): Perhaps your phone “negative color” mode isn’t actually showing you the inverted colors. I just tested it on my mobile (Moto Z3 Play) and I noticed that while it actually inverts black & whites, it also doesn’t do the same with the colors - for example green text in white fields
