Why FIDE World Cup doesn't affect Elo points for the prticipants? - Chess Forums

Magnus Carlsen has won his every game by far and his Elo is unchanged at 2847. Why? It is over the board event. I figured online events don't affect ELO standings, but why FIDE World Cup doesn't seem to affect FIDE ELO standings?
