The F type SVR was announced at the 2016 Geneva Motorshow in both coupé and convertible body styles, developed by Jaguars Special Vehichle Operations, the SVR was four wheel drive and powered by the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine from the V8 S and R, but with a maximum output of 575bhp The Jaguar F-Type SVR GT4 is a race car produced in 2018-19 devloped by Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations department in collaboration with James Holder co-founder of the clothing brand Superdry, and the Invictus Games Foundation for use by Invictus Racing to offer those in the armed forces who had suffered, the opportunity to compete in the 2018-19 British GT Championship. The team run by David Appleby had a very steep learning curve in 2018 running two specially developed F-Types in the GT Pro-Am class. Both cars campaigned in 2018 and in 2019 the attention was focused on the one car with the other being used for testing purposes. In the 2019 season the car scored class wins at Oulton Park in races 1 and 2, and 2nd at Snetterton and Spa.
