Review: Dragon Blade
I haven't seen Jackie Chan on the big screen for some time, and no doubt many fans are worried that he's getting too old for all the kickass stunts, so it's great to see him back in a big way with Dragon Blade, a historical epic war movie set 2000 years ago in China's unforgiving western provinces. Critics will surely have a lot to say about the film's shortcomings but there's one thing Dragon Blade isn't short of and that's Jackie. It's a good thing that funny-man Jackie takes centerstage in this movie because if it tried to pull off the serious historical feel of Red Cliff or Hero it would have just fallen to pieces.
