The MLS is set to have 29 teams by 2023, and a report named Las Vegas as a front-runner for a 30th club by 2024 at the earliest. In Europe, after falling to Bayern Munich 3-0, Barcelona will miss the Champions League knockout stage for the first time since 2003-04. China-based Suning Holdings is also looking to make a fresh attempt to attract new investors in Serie A’s Inter Milan, according to Bloomberg. In the world of pro hockey, the Penguins announced that Fenway Sports Group, a large sports limited liability company based in Boston, bought the NHL team. According to The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun, the sale is expected to close for around $900M.
