Nintendo came out with the Love Tester back in 1969. The product, created by Gunpei Yokoi, was made to determine how much two people love each other. The Love Tester is used by having two people hold onto the terminal knobs while holding hands. It then senses increase in heart rate and moves the needle on the display accordingly. Source
