On January 18th, Microsoft announced its intention to acquire Activision Blizzard (ATVI), owner of some of the world’s most iconic gaming franchises, including Call of Duty (CoD), World of Warcraft (WoW), Candy Crush, Diablo, and Overwatch. As shown below, the proposed ~$69 billion all-cash deal would be the largest acquisition in Microsoft’s history
