Major is a Japanese sports manga series written and illustrated by Takuya Mitsuda. The series has been adapted into an anime series produced by NHK and Studio Hibari titled Major (メジャー, Mejā) (using katakana instead of the manga's English characters). The first episode aired in November 2004. The series ran for six seasons and the final episode originally aired in September 2010. An animated film telling the story between the first and second seasons of the anime was released in December 2008. T
