Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare doubled down on the sci-fi timeline last year and I considered it a big surprise and one of my favorite entries in the series. Yet it seems that sci-fi isn't as popular anymore, and a demand to return to World War 2 has grown naturally over time. Sledgehammer Games has the Call of Duty mantle this year and Call of Duty: WWII delivers what the fans wanted, following a squad from the 1st Infantry Division.
