This research takes a critical look at the comparative analysis of E-commerce in Nigeria by examining EC websites and analyzing them with trusted web based tools, appraising a sample of internet users in the country and comparing EC in the nation with world renowned standards to give good valuation of the country’s status of EC. The increase use of computers, communication equipment and other information distribution technologies to save, retrieve, transfer and process data as turned the world into a global village with business platforms forming a vital part of it. Detailed application of Information technology on these platforms (Online Business/E-Commerce) as recently been embraced by businesses in developing countries such as Nigeria, mostly done through creating websites for goods and services to eliminate the involvement of traditional business middlemen by fashioning alternative channel for manufactures to meet customers over the web. Unfortunately, there is limited number of studies on the acceptance of E-commerce in developing countries. This research takes a critical look at the comparative analysis of E-commerce (EC) in Nigeria by examining EC websites and analyzing them with trusted web based tools; appraising a sample of internet users in the country and comparing EC in the country with world renowned standards to give good valuation of the country’s status of EC in order to Identify problems, proffer solutions and scrutinize the effectiveness of these solutions.
